ABLE Accounts

Since 2016, people with disabilities have become ABLE to save for their future, and ABLE CT is now live!

We meet with families to discuss how to incorporate an ABLE account into the special needs planning puzzle.

We also offer the following workshop:
ABLE Accounts: How Someone with a Disability Can Save for Their Future

Historically, an individual with a disability was limited in how much they could save for their future. In CT, if you have more than $1600, essential government benefits such as Medicaid and SSI could be eliminated. Now with ABLE accounts, individuals can save up to $19,000/year in tax-advantaged savings accounts. Learn the ins and outs, pros and cons of this exciting planning tool for individuals and families with special needs.
