ABLE Accounts: How Someone with a Disability Can Save for Their Future
Historically, an individual with a disability was limited in how much they could save for their future. In CT, if you have more than $1600, essential government benefits such as Medicaid and SSI could be eliminated. Now, with ABLE accounts, individuals can save up to $18,000/year in tax-advantaged savings accounts. Learn the ins and outs, and pros and cons of this exciting planning tool for individuals and families with special needs.
